"Fake" SMS

continuation...

...the public that spreading harmful SMS messages that create anxiety among the local community is a serious offence.

Those found guilty of spreading such false reports through the short messaging service could be slapped with a $1,000 fine and jailed for up to a year under Chapter 148, Section 34 of the Public Order Act.

"Pls take note that if in the middle of the nite there's a small kid who u donot know knock on yr door 4 help, pls do not open and seek assistance from the police. this is latest tactic of robbery which happened recently B careful. Pls 4ward tis Msg 2 yr frens & every1 u know... 4 more info plz tel 877**** 4 help", the SMS read.
